HCC provides limited contract-funded medical and psychiatric services at three shelters. HealthCare Choices works collaboratively with DHS, ICL-run shelters and the HealthCare Choices (HCC) is a not-for-profit organization that provides community health services to medically underserved populations, including indigent and uninsured individuals in New York City and the surrounding community. HealthCare Choices is a Federally Qualified Health Center that offers a sliding-scale fee for those who do not have insurance. An award-winning New York State-licensed Article 28 diagnostic and treatment center, HCC brings high-quality and integrated medical, dental and mental health services to people who are often not welcome in other settings – people with psychiatric disabilities, developmental disabilities and/or who are homeless.
